How Dawn teaches

Dawn helps you move your body in ways that create balance, strength, and flexibility to create long-lasting change. She helps you challenge yourself without pain so you can grow.

Yoga is different for everyone due to age, body size, physical issues, injuries, etc., so options are offered so you can be successful in the body you’re in.

You don’t have to be flexible (or fit) to do yoga, that comes little by little, as you practice.

She teaches group classes, private sessions, and Yoga Therapy sessions, so you can find the right class whether you’re a beginner or high level athlete and whether you’re healthy or healing.

Dawn has been practicing yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2005. She taught yoga flow, restorative, and relaxation classes at the WIU Spencer Recreation Center from 2007 to 2013.

Dawn is also a competitive Powerlifter through the American Drug Free Powerlifting Association and uses her Yoga Therapy background to stay healthy and get stronger. She has nursed herself back from an injury to her sacrum in 2016 by using Yoga Therapy concepts and has recently hit PRs in all three lifts: Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift – all without pain, strain, or tension.
